Cross to the village of Šakarniai

The youth of this village built a Cross in 1930. As many decades went, the Cross became weather-beaten by winds and rains, finally it disappeared completely. According to a remained photo the former Šakarniai Cross image was restored and a new Cross was consecrated by a priest Stasys Tamulionis. The main initiator of this Cross reconstruction was Mr. Jonas Strelčiūnas.
